The Washington Capitals might get some much-needed help on both ends of the ice when they host the Boston Bruins on Saturday.
Alex Ovechkin and Dmitry Orlov have been cleared to return from the COVID-19 list and could play against Boston, according to NHL.com's Tom Gulitti.
Ovechkin, Orlov, Evgeny Kuznetsov and Ilya Samsonov had been in quarantine since Jan. 20 after violating the NHL's health and safety protocols. Kuznetsov and Samsonov are still sidelined.
Without some of their top players, the Capitals went 3-0-1, holding onto the East Division's top spot. Saturday's game against the Bruins will be for the top spot in the division.
While Ovechkin and Orlov will suit up, the Capitals will likely be without Lars Eller, who is dealing with a lower-body injury.
