Now that the season is over, fans are wondering what this team will do in the offseason. According to reports, the team plans to extend head coach Tom Thibodeau.

Report: New York Knicks & Tom Thibodeau Extension Likely

Stefon Bondy of the New York Post reported that Tom Thibodeau wants to stay with the New York Knicks. “That’s something that my agent will take care of,” Thibodeau said in a recent interview. “The Knicks have been great to me. So this is where I want to be.” The veteran coach is entering the final year of his five-year deal with the team. It is at this point the team either fires the coach or extends him.

While nothing is official until the pen hits the paper, the report also indicated the New York Knicks were interested in keeping their coach. Despite yesterday’s loss, Tom Thibodeau has been successful with the Knicks. In four seasons, he is 175-143 (.550) and has led the team to numerous playoff appearances.
